Overview
|
Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is a horror-comedy game where you and your friends are tasked with delving into mysterious dungeons, gathering & preparing food, and feeding massive Kaiju to prevent the end of the world.
In addition to the co-op mode, the game also features a competitive mode where you have to fulfill various recipes to appease your team's Kaiju - and stop the other team from doing the same. |

Development Role
Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking was created by Strange Scaffold, where I was contracted to work for the latter half of the game's development, and later, post-launch updates & support.
As a generalist Designer & Developer at Strange Scaffold, I accomplished the following:
As a generalist Designer & Developer at Strange Scaffold, I accomplished the following:
- Designed & implemented many core gameplay features such as the Food Seasoning & Recipe system,
Player Reviving, Random Enemy Population, and more - Created an original Versus mode that leveraged the core gameplay of the original game to create a
completely new competitive experience - Built, tested, and set dressed levels for both Co-op and Versus gamemodes
- Implemented many of the game's back-end systems using both Angelscript and Blueprint
Versus
As part of a post-launch update, I took the charge in creating a completely new Versus mode for the game - in just a single month. As the de-facto lead on Versus, I built the entire gamemode from the ground up using a combination of Angelscript and Blueprint scripting, created a complete production spec for all needed Art, Sound, and Level assets, and helped Level Designers create & tune their versus arenas.
I even finished building the mode far earlier than I expected - which gave me time to create an extra arena that wasn't originally planned.
