Overview
Seafoam is a multiplayer Free-For-All / Team Deathmatch map for Halo 5, designed for an ideal player count of 4-8.
The goal of Seafoam was to whitebox a fun & compact combat arena that emulates the design of older Halo maps, with special attention towards engagement points & weapon sandbox balancing. |

Seafoam was created as a solo effort using 343's Halo 5: Forge map editor.

- Performed research into existing Halo maps to gain insight into level structure & weapon placement
- Created initial Prototypes and Whiteboxes for the level layout, moving through multiple major iterations
- Ran playtesting of the Whiteboxed layout to find issues and gather player feedback from both casual and hardcore Halo fans
- Made adjustments to routing, cover, and area connections to create a level that is compact & engaging but not restrictive in movement
- Iterated upon weapon sandbox & "Power Weapon" placement to drive engagements towards key areas
